## What is recipe costing?

Recipe costing works out what one unit of a product costs to make, from the price of each ingredient in the recipe plus packaging and conversion, and compares it with the selling price after tax and channel margin to show the real margin.

### Does costing change my nutrition label?

No. Costing reads the recipe but never edits the product, its nutrition or its label.

### Who can see costs and margins?

Admins by default. Editors and Reviewers do not see costing unless an Admin allows it.
